Learning log inside classroom IV

24/06/2013

Today, We are learning about teaching method such as , vocabulary teaching, teaching pronunciation , culture teaching , communicative language teaching and web based learning  (ICT) There are different to use in the classroom.

First , vocabulary teaching. it's about a word to use to teach in the classroom. teacher should begin to teach lower level before to teach each level. and then, explain a new word , tell the meaning and how to use this word. while teacher teaching a new word, teacher should to use the picture for understanding and remember. I think, that's interesting. we can learn vocabulary in many time. such as learn from video game or watching movie with subtitle. this is the one way to learn about it. not only in the classroom.

Second, teaching pronunciation. the method that has traditionally been taught with a goal of "speaking like a native speaker" I think it's very complicate.  so, Exercise should be simple, accessible , fun , and combine reception and production.

Third, Culture teaching, Actually, we aren't only learn about target language but also learn about culture. this thing is an important because it's help student learn about culture and can communicate with foreigner in different social context, for treat in right way.

Next, Communicative language teaching is can foster language skill. it's help student improve communication skill to communicative with emotion and cognition to effectively. In addition, they give student an opportunity to practice communicating in different social contexts and in different social roles. teacher should be taught in the classroom for student encourage to communicative with other people in real situation.

Finally, Web based learning,. Many of us use the internet as a source of information. Therefore, this method is the one way to learn it. the web is increasingly used both as a learning tool to support formal programmes and as a means of delivering online learning programmes.

Reading Practice week III

Reading Academically

This topic is about reading Academically. I already summarize from the article.

Reading for academic and research purposes is very different from leisure reading because it's not only read for understanding but also find the answer from them. That is very complicate. However, if you want to increase or improve reading skill, a system call "the QUASAR" is the one way will help you to improve reading skills and stands for:

          Q          Question
          U
          A          Active
          S           Systems
          A          Analyse
          R          Reflect

"QUASAR" will help you improve reading skill for understanding not only memorization. these are very important for reading successfully.
At the same time, efficient to help you to be more efficient as an academic reader. by the way, There are 2 style reading when you getting information from text:
           1. Skimming is a particular style of reading. it is way of gathering as much information as possible from text in the shortest time possible.
           2. Scanning is another style of reading. this is the most useful when you are searching for something specific in the text-like a word of phrase.
However, some students become disheartened when they cannot understand a text on the book. this may be because you are still grappling at an early stage of understanding, both of new concepts and the new terminology. maybe that book at too high a level at this stage. so, you should begins with a text which gives you more help and briefer. that's maybe possible to increase your reading skill more and more. so that to being a critical reader. this is a highly reflective skill. try this for yourself. your skill reading will excellent!

Today, I'm learning about method such as Task-based learning , Project learning , listening and speaking. it's method for teaching in classroom. there are different but the method can use and apply in the classroom.

First, Task- based learning is the method about learning from activity. student can learn from do activity. they also have motivate to learning and not boring. it's help student improve to understanding in content.

Next, Project learning. this method I know just a little bit. the method is about learning from project like research. but not at all. teacher may give work to student find about local environment. and then student do this project with group and find the information to use to presentation.

Then, Listening learning ; the study of listening skill. it's help student improve listening skill. I think I can't listening so good because sometime I can't hear alphabet.

Finally, Speaking learning. the method is learning about speaking and learn for improve communicate in real life with other.

To concludes, that's all is the method can teach in English classroom for effectively. I'm acknowledge and learn from my friends who present in front of the class. I think I can do it.

Learning log inside classroom II

10/06/2556

Today, This is my second in class "Curriculum And Learning Management in English" we are learned about teaching method. and my friends present about belief , Content based learning and Problem based learning. there are different to teach.

First, Belief is psychological state in which an individual hold inside to be true. that method will help an English language teacher so well. so that to make student  motivate to learning with believe inside from mind. and then belief is will help student learned process. it's very important because they are interested or not, it's depend on believe from inside mind.

Next, Content based learning is mean to focus on content in text. so that student understanding and they will learn effectively. Therefore, it's maybe better way if teacher focus on content than part of lesson. otherwise, student doesn't know what they want to learned.

Last, Problem based learning is about learning by solve problem it's will help student learn process and  analysis how to solve problem. this method can use in real life because there are many problem in life. and student must know what to do. this method is very useful. teacher should be use this method to teach in classroom for student learned how to solve the problem in right away.

In Conclusion, I have to learned the teaching method and how to present knowledge next time.teaching method is necessary for student to learn effectively.  so, I will do my best and I try to learning for myself. for my  future when I am a teacher.          .

Numb - Linkin Park

i'm tired of being what you want me to be

feeling so faithless

lost under the surface

i don't know what you're expecting of me

put under the pressure

of walking in your shoes

[caught in the undertow / just caught in the undertow]every step that i take is another mistake to you
i've

become so numb

i can't feel you there

become so tired

so much more aware

i'm becoming this

all i want to do

is be more like me

and be less like you

can't you see that you're smothering me

holding too tightly

afraid to lose control

cause everything that you thought i would be

has fallen apart right in front of you

[caught in the undertow / just caught in the undertow]every step that i take is another mistake to you

[caught in the undertow / just caught in the undertow]and every second i waste is more than i can take

but i knowi may end up failing toobut i knowyou were just like mewith someone disappointed in you
